改选哪个呢?

doing 表示与主句中动词同时进行的动作
having done 表示在主句中动词所表达的动作前完成的动作
Having believed, 就是在主句动词feared 之前 "相信过“，所以意思不对。
Believing， 是与主句动词feared同时，表示当时的人们”相信“，所以意思正确。
