08年考研阅读中的一句话Studies of both animals and humans have shown that sex hormones somehow affect the stress response,causing females under stress to produce more of the trigger chemicals than do males under the same conditions.
我对其中的of+名词做前置定语不太明白!不是说of+名词都是做后置定语的么?我也不知道在这个地方是不是做定语,还有of直接加名词作定语不就行么?为什么还要在名词前面加个the?

1. of 短语可以理解为后置定语；比如这里的more of the trigger chemicals,如果直接翻译就是：这些触发性的化学物质中的更多的；通常翻译成：更多的触发性的化学物质 即可.
