the other,我们通常说one...the other,一个…另一个…
the other就是指两者中的另一个.在阅读或是别的什么时候碰到the other,one不会明确地用“one”,而是用一个实体,比如一个事件一样物品等等.而涉及两者中的另一者,就会用到the other.
other和others是指其余所剩.比如
there are other ways to go out.
other ways就是只除此外还有很多出路.如果前文有提到way,避免重复可以用others.
比如some are running,others are just watching.
another呢,意思就是“另外一个,再一个”
比如,would you like another cup of coffee?
another没有类似other这样两者之一或者剩余的概念,仅仅只是相类似的,另一个的概念
few,a few和little,a little之间的关系是类似的,了解其中一种就可以了
few,很少,几个,或者几乎没有
a few,有一些,很少
