I agree with this statement, yes, indeed many people, especially the younger ones are extremely keen about fame and stuff. This could be because of the influence brought by the materialism. Many people believe that fame, especially in the entertainment world, will bring in great wealth. In fact, there are quite a lot people in the entertainment world have this idea in mind.
However, there are the other type of people. This group of people insist of bringing the entertainment to the audiences, and they dedicate themselves in order to achieve that, the famous Star Jackie Chan is one example of such people.
I would say that seeking fame is not wrong, because it actually gives motivation. Yet one must keep kindness in mind, and use this fame to help others, this could be the best.

Entertainment World is the most fastest way to introducing yourself to everyone , what other job do you think can make you rich and famous without spending years of hard work compare to entertainment world ? Youngsters in this generation is not as practical nor hardworking as their previous generation due to the seduction of the modern world .Especially thru internet they get to come across lots of information including wealth , high end clothing , luxuary house... they admire those things they wish to have it but they dun have the patient to wait , inorder to get it as soon as possible rather than waiting for a long time they will prefer a fastest way to achieve it .Therefore entering the entertainment world is the best and fastest way to fullfill their dreams .

There are selfish, greedy, vanity and so on, these demerits from human's instinct that will lead them to do something about that.
Especially entertainment world, it is a place that is full of fame and interest, it will show more about them.
