这个用的是 "consideration" 中的Promissory Estoppel(为了为了维护公平,防止允诺人出尔反尔,从而给对方造成损失）.这个原理中有提到说,Promissory Estoppel allows a party to recover on a promise even though that promise was made without consideration.Essentially it prevents,or estops,a person from arguing that his or her promise should not be upheld.我的理解就是说为了保护法律的公平公正,即使没有consideration或者没有非常完整的书面contract,但是某一方造成了另一方的损失的时候,为了保护受害方而设立的原则.
