句子.个人理解,因为没有看后面的句子,所以只能这样理解.
这个是复杂句中的一个组成部分：简单句.
一个简单句是由主语（S）+ 谓语 （V）+ {宾语 （O）}组成,而有时宾语是可省略的.
这个句子从后来的and then 作为连接词可以看出两点：
1）这个是由词组为连词,连接两个/两个以上的句子组成的复杂句.
