正确答案是有关平行结构的（begining the process of）,这个我没疑问.我的问题是whose 引导的定语从句放在“in which they are residing” 后面是不有点问题
whose应该指代persons,但我想确定whose 放在residing 后面是不是有点指代不明，应为前面已经有三个名词了。

1、是的,whose指代persons.
2、是的,严格意义上它是指代不明的,因为前面有几个名词了.
3、而且,whose应指代最近的一个,那应该是country,那就更不对了.
4、但是如果不这么写,又怎么写句子呢?
5、这个错误跟平行结构的错误,显然是那个更确切的是个硬伤.
6、SAT的语法句子有时候不是很严谨,阅读里也有不严谨的,这都正常.挑重点吧.
回答不敢保证完全都对,但是好歹语法750,应该没问题.

1. 此whose的确指代persons。
2. 在过长的句子中，各从句的确极易产生指代不明的状况。不过此句并不存在这种状况，persons的后置定语有二：born outside a country in which xxx以及whose parents are xxx，按紧密性依次排列。

whose指代的是前面的a foreign-born population
