My Favorite Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Believe it or not,this recipe took some experimentation before it achieved perfection.I tried spreading butter on the inside,different types of cheese,and different ways to grill it.This is the best.You have to use the presliced American cheese wrapped in plastic wrap,and whole wheat sandwich bread,along with real butter.This isn't gourmet,but it's fabulous.
Prep Time:5 minutes
Cook Time:6 minutes
Total Time:11 minutes
Ingredients:
4 slices whole wheat bread (I like Pepperidge Farm)
5 slices processed American cheese
3 tablespoons butter (NOT margarine)
Preparation:
Place two of the bread slices on the work surface.Top each with 2-1/2 slices of the American cheese.Top with remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.Spread the outsides of the sandwiches thinly with butter.
Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.Place sandwiches on the skillet and cover.Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.Carefully flip,cover again,and cook for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and bread is browned.Serve immediately.

My favorite sandwich ever, the one that turned me on to the awesomeness of sandwiches, was a double decker turkey and roast beef with munster on pumpernickel/rye swirl bread.
It was our senior trip to NYC, and our bus was driven by a mean-ass driver who refused to stop for dinner, even when a traffic snarl kept us from NYC until nine. We stopped at a deli, and starving, I asked for whatever was fastest and filled with the most protein. I was shaking, in the middle of a hypoglycemic attack, so the waitress just grabbed the first thing out of the kitchen and gave it to me.
I learned several things:
Double deckers rule
Mixing meats is AWESOME
Even if they just kept you from passing out, waitresses in NYC do not want hugs

I like fast food very much and my favorite Sandwich is Chicken with lettuce. If it is fried Chicken, it will be more delicious. I also like the Sandwich that butter,chase,tomato and beef are in. Sandwich is tasty, but we can not eat too much, because it will make us fat.
