当if 引导表示将来概念的条件状语从句时,通常不会出现will,而是用一般现在时或者现在完成
时.否则,句子就会被视为是错句.
但在人教版高中英语第一册上第8 页中却出现了这样一个句子：If you’ll excuse me now.这是否意
味着教材出错了呢?答案显然是否定的,因为will 在下列情况下就可以用于if 状语从句.
一、当will 用作情态动词表示客气请求时
1． Now if you will take off your clothes, Emperor, we will fit the new suit on you in front of themirror.
2． If you will kindly wait a moment, I’ll be with you in a minute.
二、当will 意为“be willing to”时
1. If you will just sign here please, I’ll give you the money.
2. If you will take the trouble to read this letter carefully, you will see what he means.
三、will 表示决心、坚持或允诺时
1. If you will eat too much pastry, you can’t complain if you get fat.
2. If you will go, you may go at once.
四、如果if 条件状语从句指的是主句动作的结果时,可以用will.
1. If it will make you happier, I’ll stop smoking.
2. I’m willing to lend you $ 10000 if it will enable you to own that flat.
