这样写完全是为了让前后两句结构差不多,因为前面那么长后面就说一个the better 虽然跳不出毛病,但是太别扭了.
事实上the 比较级...the 比较级...这种用法就是应该用在对称结构的,上下句越像对联越好.
再事实上,口语中说the ...er the better,一般就是这么一句俩词儿完事儿.
你也可以说,
【You'd better get away from me,the farther the better.】
后一句
【The fewer who come,the better.】
不用分析主谓宾啥的啊,因为这句本来就是俩比较级,没有主谓宾.
这个句子就相当于 the fewer apples the better 一样咯.
