前者“找某人谈某事”
找…谈某事
There's a man at the door who says he's calling you about your insurance.
门口有一男子说来找你,谈你的保险事宜.
后者“告诉某人有关某事的情况”“谈及”
Can you tell me about that?
你能把那个故事讲给我听吗?
Then briefly she told us about herself.
于是她简单地给我们谈了谈她的情况.
Has she told you about leaving China for home?
她给你谈了离开中国回国的事了吗?
about sth 是修饰谓语动词的状语,不是宾补（和宾语没逻辑上的主谓关系）,也不是双宾语,call不是双宾语及物动词,tell 如果接双宾语,就没有 about.
其实这些搭配没必要考虑后面的介词短语是什么成分,知道这个搭配就OK了.

我觉得应该是做直接宾语，两个词组中的“sb”间接宾语。
about是介词，在这里引导介宾短语，不应该是做宾补，因为宾补是对宾语起补充说明的，但是about sth根本不能对sb起补充说明的作用，如果将about sth作为一个整体来讲，应该是双宾语，因为他和sb都是tell的宾语，只不过一个是对象一个是内容。
