没有省略 be of+名词相当于同根的形容词,你确定是important而不是importance
needed to做the vary mental processes的后置定语,也就是过去分词做后置定语,个人觉得应该不是定语从句,因为是needed而没有用need.也就是processes需要 make your efforts most productive

答：问题不在于你说的正着译和倒着译，反翻译有一定的规则，但目的是把一种语言（source language)用另一种语言（target language)准确而又完整传递，而另一种语言就要符合这种语言的语法习惯。只要从这个原则出法，只要意思明确，连贯通顺，不在乎你的正译倒译。
3.句子中名词前面都有a,an或the吗？
一些抽象的不可属名词前一般不加，如fire,一些世上独一无二的事物前用THE 如 moon ,earth。一般的可属名词用a /an,
