先说第三句的逗号问题：
如果不加逗号，这个连接词可用that, 意思没什么变化，但句子过长是限制性定语从句，所以作者将句子分开，有一点需死记，一旦分开，限制性定语从重句变成非限限制性定语从句，需用逗号隔开，that必需变成which.
再说which前面加上介词：
很多时候which前的介词是可以不要的，意思没有大的变化，加介词更多是一种语气和意思的强调.
首先你要弄懂从句的意思，第三句如果你不加for的话从句可译为：有一个恒定的比率，但加了for,口气变了，就是：因为有一个恒定的比率.
同样在第二句，加了in,强调的是：在这个比例里，不加in译为：这个比例，有点细小的区别，加了in表达更清楚.
