1 nicer用比较级,两者之间比较
2 这里 the day before yesterday是一般过去时的标志,是过去的动作,没有过去完成时的标志.
3 可以用is啊,从语法上讲没错的,只是用lie把岛拟人化了,更形象生动.
4 successfully 副词
work out it（应该是work it out）是动词短语,后面加副词.一般来说,动词或动词短语后加副词,形容词一半是修饰名词.
5 填will arrive, in two days.意思是两天内,是一般将来时的标志,句意是她怀疑他们能否在两天内到达.
6 thrown 这里是定语从句,paper which is thrown中which is 省略了,乱扔的报纸.
7 句子意思是这个地方小孩子玩不会有危险.就是填danger,是名词,意思是危险.
8 这里填thousand.一般是确数的时候不加s,是约数的时候加上s,例如thousands of students,几千个学生用复数.

填wanting,句子意思是随着时间的推移,有更多的人想买车.这里其实也是定语从句,可以填who want,而who want与wanting是一样的,这种同义用法很常见的.
