我们知道,不定式和动名词都可以作及物动词的宾语.有的意思没多大差别如start后面.有的有一些差别如like后面,有的有很大差别,如forget 后面.
不定式不仅可以作动词的宾语,还可以作介词（主要是but)的宾语.这一点很多TX不知道!
but后的不定式,有带to的,也有不带to的.一般考点在此.记法是;有do无to如：
Della could do nothing but cry.
对比：Della had no choice but to cry.
至于but后为什么要用不定式而不用动名词的问题,从来没有一个同学提出来过.
这还要从不定式表“未来,一次性的动作”,动名词表“经常,一般性动作”来解答.
