A:"What about your girlfriend?Aren't you going to spend it with her?"
C:"His girlfriend is spending the New Year's Eve with her family.Like always."
B:"Well,what's your plan for that day then?"
A:"I was thinking abuot hosting a party but I don't know if I can get enough people to come or not."
B:"I thought your family is in town."
C:"They went to my parents' place uptown.I think they are spend the holiday over there."
B:"So you got the house all by yourself?"
A:"Yap."
C:"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
B:"I don't know,what are you thinking?"
A:"Party On!"
C:"You read my mind."
B:"I guess we can do that,it's not like I got any plans."
A:"Well,that's settle then.I will call you guys for details later."

Valerie: Hi guys, i'm back from China.
Mandy: Hey Valerie, I missed you so much!
Jacob: China? Cool, how was your trip?
Valerie: Great, i learned many things about Chinese culture, tradition and etiquette.
Jacob: Wow...so, how was it?
Valerie: Turned out to be interesting, i was fascinated with Chinese culture.
Mandy: So tell me about it..
Valerie: You know how we celebrate Christmas? Chinese people don't celebrate Christmas, but they celebrate Chinese New Year, which is a day somewhere in February. It is often recognized as "Spring Festival". Chinese people would often unite with their family and have a feast together. However, Chinese New Year's Eve, like Christmas Eve, is the most exciting night out of the whole year, possibly.
Jacob: Oh wow, i never knew that. I wish i was Chinese. It sounds interesting to me. Speaking of Spring Festival, please elaborate...?
Mandy: Yeah! Like maybe the history of it?
Valerie: Oh that, sure. February is followed by March, which is the beginning of Spring. In the chinese calendar, it is the beginning of a new year, where everything will grow again.
Mandy: Like when snow melts, trees turn green again, and plants start to grow?
Valerie: Exactly! It is a very meaningful celebration, i guess.
Jacob: So, what do people eat on the day of Chinese New Year? Special foods? Yummy?
Valerie: As i told you, delicious family meal. Many foods are served, such us dumplings, Four-Joy Meatballs and maybe spring rolls?
Mandy: Sounds delicious to me! What in the world is Four-Joy meatballs anyways?
Valerie: Oh, it's just meatballs braised in brown sauce. But, chinese people consider this something lucky to eat!
Jacob: Wow, you sure know a lot of stuffs about it.
Valerie: Of course i do!
Mandy: Now you've mentioned it, i have learned that Chinese people watch this Chinese New Year Show while they are dinning.
Jacob: Hey i bet 2008 Chinese New Year Show is going to be so exciting, since the olympic games is going to be held in China. They will probably mention about the Olympic games during the show!
Valerie: You guys know more than i've thought! I definitely want to watch the show...
Jacob: Now you make me want to visit China, maybe i really will!
Mandy: Me too, i have to learn more about Chinese Culture!
Valerie: Sure, go ahead!
