近年来,在中国,随着工业化、城市化、现代化的进程加快,子女工作后,为了各自的事业或家庭,与父母同住的方式来照顾老人的人群比例呈现下降的趋势,出现越来越多的独居老人和老夫妻家庭比率不断上升.
2 家庭原因
随着社会的发展,现代年轻人观念的改变,传统家庭观念的变化,不再是几代同堂,而是选择和老人分开单独居住,这也造成了“空巢家庭”形成的原因之一.

Lesson 3: Studying the causes of theloneliness felt by the "Empty Nest Seniors"
1. Social causes:
China has sped up the processes of industrialization, industrialization, and modernization in the recent years. As the youth grow up and start working, they started building their own career and family. The percentage of youth living with parents and look after them is decreasing drastically, more and more seniors tend to live alone or only with their partner instead of still living with their children.
2. Family causes:
As society develops, the youth in the modern days have a changing concept in terms of their family orientation. There is no longer or very rarely "different generations living under the same roof", but most of the youth choose to leave their parents and live on their own, this also has contributed to one of the causes to the phenomenon of the "Empty Nest Family".
