This article studied fiber-optic microbend sensor and fiber-optic microbend strain sensor, introduced the working theory and features of fiber-optic microbend sensor, discussed the technology development and application of fiber-optic microbend sensors both at home and abroad. In this article, there also designed a fiber-optic microbend strain sensor with an arch structure, and concluded a better design sturcture by comparing its features with others via sensitivity analyise.
