I want to ask you for advice. I want to be an engineer after I graduate. I have made tools at home and written articles for magazine . My father said that though engineering was a good program for a girl to study, he wished me to study geography . However , I am not interested in Geography at all . I tried to read books on it , but I felt so bored . So what should I do ? I really respect my father's point of view, but I don't think he understand me.

Dear Abby,
I would like to ask for your advice. After I graduate from school, I want to be an engineer. I have made tools at home and written articles for magazines (a magazine). However, my father does not think engineering is a good/appropriate subject for a girl to study. He wants to me to study geography instead.
However, I am not interesting in geography at all and have found it boring. What shall I do? I do respect my father, but I do not think he really understands me and knows what’s the best for me.
