Many visitors to Britain are not fond of English food.They're often asked saying,“English food is no good,English cooking is terrible.”But they do not really know what they are talking about.beacause they seldom get a chance to eat it.Most of the restaurants in large towns have foreign visitors and serve foreign food .When visitors are offered to eat at an English home,their hosts often feel they must offer them something foreign.Those of us who do not know English food understand that at its least it may be really very good.On the contrary,it is true to say that it is sometimes terrible.Part of the problem is that we are not really interested in food --we eat to live,we do not live to eat.So usually we do not spend the necessary time and effort needed in cooking truly good meals.We like food that is simple and easy to cook ,or already prepared food which only needs heating up before eating.
