这些句子看多了实则很简单
首先 划掉句中的填入成分 本句中的in particular 就是
其他句子中的插入语 例如 Anna, the champion of the debate tournament, delivered a wonderful speech yesterday. 中的 ‘the champion of the debate tournament’ 相当于把Anna具体介绍了一下 对句子主体成分而言一点儿用都没有 看到直接划
这句话的 真正成分 就这样 Many Americans appeared to be under the impression. 很多美国人都有这样的想法
that 后面全是从句 因为这个从句修饰的是 具体怎样一个impression 而impression在主句中做宾语 （本句为主谓宾）,所以这从句是个宾语从句
然后再来看从句中的结构 其实核心就这么简单 Ronald Reagan set an process. 后面的就句子主体来讲全没用
