目的状语可以是短语也可以是句子,作状语的句子就叫做状语从句.所以目的状语从句实际上是目的状语的一种形式.
eg:In order to get married, he must have a job;in order to have a good job, he must have a PHD.(其中的in order to就是目的状语)
eg:He works hard so that he can go to university.(that引导的就叫目的状语从句,是一个句子作状语)
