All summer and autumn,the little cicada spent his time playing and singing in the trees.One day he met his friend,the bee.The bee was working hard.The bee knew that the cicada was wrong because he did not work.So he said to the little cicada,"My dear friend,winter is coming.You must work hard now so that you will have food for the winter." The little cicada said,"I want to play.I don't want to work.When winter comes,I can gather these leaves on the ground as my food." He then went on playing again.
Winter came at last and the weather was very cold.There were on leaves on the ground,no leaves or flowers on the trees.The little cicada was cold and hungry.He wanted some food to eat but nobody gave him any.He died of hunger and cold.
